Anastassy Savitsky

Anastassya Savitsky (she/her) is a choreographer and performer based in Antwerp. Her work moves at the intersection of dance, visual composition and embodied memory. Often starting from drawings, images or simple gestures, she approaches choreography as a way of “drawing in space”: composing with lines, images and physical states rather than fixed narratives.

With roots in Belarus and a life shaped by migration and the search for belonging, her current artistic research looks at how personal histories of movement, care and responsibility inscribe themselves in the body. She is particularly interested in how domestic life and motherhood resonate with wider social and political tensions, and how these echoes can appear in the smallest details of posture, rhythm and attention.

Her new solo Hold the House is part of this broader research trajectory. The piece treats the home as a fragile stage where intimacy, exhaustion, humour and inherited stories quietly collide. Anastassya is currently deepening this research within the Master in Dance at the Royal Conservatoire Antwerp.

Alongside her own creations, she has worked as a performer with choreographers and companies such as Jan Martens, Theater FroeFroe, hetpaleis and Lisbeth Gruwez/Voetvolk. Over the past years she has become particularly known for her large-scale, visually driven
