Colette Goossens is a theatre maker, performer, and writer. She debuts with My Brother: The Walrus, her graduation production from KASK Ghent, which she will perform at Theater Aan Zee 2021. During her studies, she co-founded the Toneelscholenfestival (Drama School Festival).
In recent years, Colette has been involved in productions by companies including Compagnie Cecilia (Monstera), Jonas Baeke (Pinocchio), and KOPERGIETERY (Losers Get Lost). Along with Matilde Casier, Lilith Pas, and Eliza Stuyck, she forms the young collective Ottessa. Their debut production, Rest and Relaxation, was a part of the Eigen Kweek program in 2024.
Under the Influence, a performance co-created with Laurens Aneca and Stan Martens, was recently selected for the 2025 TheaterFestival. The jury praised the production for its careful analysis of gender relations, psychological suffering, and the inscrutability of a relationship. Colette explores vulnerability and connection in all her performances.
Her new soloperformance, Being Britney, will premiere in July 2026.
